Hogs Move Up In Polls

Posted by Adam Butler on September 7, 2010

"I Should Have Gone to Jacksonville State."

But I really have to wonder about the validity of the AP and Coaches’ Polls when Jacksonville St. and Euless Trinity didn’t receive any votes.

By the way, this Shiloh score left many Bentonville coaches with a sour taste. Apparently the commentators referred to the Saints as “the best team in Arkansas.”

Also Shiloh has been saying that Bentonville is too scared to play them.

Somebody ask the Hootens which team backed out of a Bville/Shiloh kickoff classic.

    War Trinity!

The FSSW (Texas) announcers said it often. They were chest thumping about it, essentially.

It sorta made me laugh/cringe–kind of like when I heard Josh Floyd (Shiloh HC, record-setting HS QB and son of mega church evangelist Ronnie Floyd) on the radio today.

He said the most disappointing aspect was that they felt like if they could have done a few things differently, they might have been able to stretch the game out and have a chance in the fourth quarter.

Like what–having 50 extra points to use however they wished? If their congregation(s) buy that kind of preaching, there’s no wonder that they are able to raise so much money for the building fund.

I can’t believe Floyd’s comments that if they would have done a few things diffently it would have made a difference. I watched the some of the first half, and from the first snap it there was absolutely no doubt that Shiloh was over matched. Trinity probably could have put up 70 in the first half if they kept running outside the tackles instead of dive plays. How often do teams start trying to not score in the first half? Floyd also seemed to call out other AR schools for not having the guts to play a game like that.

A guy I work with is from Springdale and apparently some of Shiloh faithful that are former players and pretend to assist kids with extending their playing days into college, were blaming the officiating.

Until this game I never realized the extent of their delusion.

Here you go, Jeff. Bentonville receiving some votes for Rivals 100. Springdale Har-Ber checks in at 42. Needless to say the Fightin’ Floyds are no longer a part.

Its funny to me b/c the Shiloh cult tells their kids that they are the best in the country and writers/homers from ArkansasVarsity actually picked Shiloh to win this game.

Then they play and find that Trinity “be rapin errbody out here”.

That Trojan team reminded me of another Trojan team I played a couple times. They score so fast it just messes you up!
