I can't believe I'm out here on this Supreme Court just a Swingin'.
The Supreme Court decided two cases out of Florida today saying that the 8th Amendment protects minors from being sentenced to life in prison without the possibility for parole.
Two things about this: 1. As a high school teacher it is very clear to me that teenagers can change. I have had truly amazing interactions with adults that I barely recognized from their days as a student in my class. Age can change a person. 2. If you have any interest at all in the Supreme Court of the US, you need to hang out at Oyez. I love this website.
