Schilling Slams Umpire Joe West for Calling Out America’s Teams, Errrrrrrrrrr
Posted by Adam Butler on April 8, 2010
If you look to the right of the above-linked article, there is a predictably snarky and self-important sidebar from new ESPN hire and former Boston Fake Red Sock?, Curt Schilling (aka “Red Light” Curt as he was known by some of his former teammates because, well, he likes to hear himself talk).
I expect Schilling will be a regular in BlogHawgs’ soon-to-be-unveiled feature, the Horrible Announcing Hall of Fame. Schilling could neither confirm nor deny whether he typed the sidebar with a laptop that had fake blood on the keyboard.

ESPN signs Schilling and MLB network signs Smoltz for color analysts.
Just another case where MLB network continues on its way to bury ESPN’s baseball crew.

Schilling just Tweeted about your comment. He said that anyone who spells their name Brain instead of Brian must not have the biggest, best Brain in Brain History, as he does.

Will the Bad Announcer Hall of Fame be named after the Boom Goes the Dynamite guy?

That’s still to be determined. Finalists are John Sterling/Susan Waldman, Billy Packer and Chip Carey.
If we include Highlight Jocks and former players turned analysts, that list will greatly expand and almost certainly be named the Stephen A. Smith HOF.

Schilling is a jerk, but he is right about this ump. He is a loudmouth that likes to hear himself talk. Schilling knows all about that.
