Butler Signs Its Main Man(Servant), Head Coach Brad Stevens

to a historic 12-year extension.  Is it historic in length? No.  It’s simply historic in that (aside from the lifetime contracts previously signed by some coaches) it is believed to be the first time a Division I Head Coach has signed a contract for a term of years that is longer than he has been alive.

Schilling Slams Umpire Joe West for Calling Out America’s Teams, Errrrrrrrrrr

If you look to the right of the above-linked article, there is a predictably snarky and self-important sidebar from new ESPN hire and former Boston Fake Red Sock?, Curt Schilling (aka “Red Light” Curt as he was known by some of his former teammates because, well, he likes to hear himself talk).

I expect Schilling will be a regular in BlogHawgs’ soon-to-be-unveiled feature, the Horrible Announcing Hall of Fame.  Schilling could neither confirm nor deny whether he typed the sidebar with a laptop that had fake blood on the keyboard.
