If the House is A Rockin’

call the cops?

This is a recent “Police Beat” from a Hot Springs Village Newspaper.  The 2nd paragraph is treee–mendous, but it is, as a whole, pretty good stuff.

That Noise You Hear is Not Another Bone Breaking in Ryan Mallett’s Foot

Posted by Adam Butler on February 22, 2010

It’s the Hype Machine (already) whirring for big Ryno.  NBC Sports has tabbed him as the #1 collegiate quarterback for next season, It’s ironic that they pulled a quote from an SEC West Coach who thought so much of his talent as a QB that when he came to camp, he played him at………..Tight End……multiple years.  That’s right.

That was a remarkably bad personnel decision and Houston called it, brutha!

When I Think of Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino,

Posted by Adam Butler on February 22, 2010

I think of “Kickin’ It”, as ESPN SEC blogger Chris Low did recently with the Head Hog.  I particularly like the fact that he “kept it real” regarding expectations.  He’s so hood.

So just when Ryan Mallett’s Latest Injury Had Me

Posted by Adam Butler on February 18, 2010

thinking, “Here comes the luck of the Razorbacks.”, along came ESPN SEC blogger Chris Low to talk me and the rest of Razorback Nation down, as he found the bright spots in Mallett’s projected 3-4 month layoff due to a broken bone in his foot sustained yesterday in conditioning drills.

I think it also might help him stay out of trouble in the offseason.  It’s harder to run around town with a bum wheel.

Mr. Jones And Cin-cy Tell Each Other Fairytales?

Posted by Adam Butler on February 16, 2010

He’s only been there a matter of hours, but it apparently feels like “A Long December” for former UA Quarterback, Matt Jones, and his new employer, the Cincinnatti Bengals. Yikes.

Sarah Palin v. The Family Guy

Posted by Adam Butler on February 16, 2010

This could get interesting.  On one hand, it may not matter to the show and it’s creators, because about 4 dyed-in-the wool (wait, did I just insult sheep?) Republicans in the entire nation have the sense of humor for The Family Guy.

On the other hand, the show airs on Fox, Palin’s campaign manager employer.

My guess is both Palin and TFG use this dustup to their (PR) advantage for quite awhile.

Can You Imagine the Damage SEC Referees Will Do

Posted by Adam Butler on February 12, 2010

Penalty. No TD.

if this happens? File it under “If it’s broken, break it even more”.

“If passed, players who draw flags for taunting gestures on their way to a touchdown would have the penalty assessed from the spot of the foul, taking away the score. Penalties that occur in the end zone would continue to be assessed on the extra-point attempt, 2-point conversion try or ensuing kickoff.”

No Penalty.

Former Oklahoma St. Head Coach Sean Sutton, Son of Legendary Coach Eddie Sutton,

Posted by Adam Butler on February 12, 2010

was arrested Thursday by agents for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs on complaints of attempting to possess controlled dangerous substances.

I know that when he inked (current OSU star) James Anderson from Junction City, Arkansas, a few years ago, I felt like doing lots of pain killers.

Seriously, though, while the mug shot would normally be funny, it’s sad because it appears Sean Sutton is in a pretty bad way.  I hope he beats it.  His father has had a well-chronicled battle with addiction for most of his life.

Matt Jones To Wear Stripes Again

Posted by Adam Butler on February 12, 2010

This is Hopefully the Only Kind of Stash Jones Has These Days

Bengals stripes, that is, as Cincy inks him to a one-year deal for around $700,000.  As posted hear yesterday, Jones, had been close to a deal with the Tennessee Titans.

It makes me think we should postpone the start of one of the 412 fantasy baseball leagues I am in and draft from Hot Town with tens of thousands of fellow degenerate gamblers around.
