Al Davis fired Tom Cable today, and, not realizing  that he had previously hired and fired Kiffin after 20 games, or that Kiffin just bolted from Tennessee to take the USC job, Davis has named Kiffin as his number one choice for the Raiders job, adding that they also really want to pick JaMarcus Russell in the 2010 NFL draft.

OK, I made all that up, but at this point, would ANYTHING involving Davis or Kiffin suprise you?

Reports: Lane Kiffin to leave Tennessee after 1 year to take the USC job.  Now, Tennessee and Florida fans can agree on something–they hate Laney Boy.

The best part? The Kiffins recently had a son (January ’09)…..and his middle name is Knox. I am not kidding.

It should be noted that I finished third (going 16-18, but hitting most of my ‘confident’ picks) after starting the bowl season a virtually impossible 0-8.

I am suprised even Bummer fans would want to touch the trophy, in spite of the convenience of doing so while loading up on Cheetos and beef jerky after the Bama players nearly sexually assaulted the trophy on stage following the BCS Championship game.

Jay Leno's Show would have been funnier if he would have just stood there like this looking half lit and saying nothing.

It actually led to some marginally funny jokes in Jay Leno’s monologue. Maybe they should cancel him more often. Meanwhile, Conan is rightfully P.O.ed. If I were him I would bolt for Fox.  That way he gets off the sinking ship, gets a ton of money and has a built-in excuse if he fails at his next stop.
