SEC Baseball Tourney to Experiment With

Posted by Adam Butler on December 18, 2009

a Pitch Clock.  Booooooo.  This is baseball.  It’s bad enough we have to suffer aluminum bats (albeit somewhat muted ones) in college baseball……now this?  I don’t like it.

How can this even work? What happens if the “pitch clock” is at 3 and the batter has to step out of the box. (Something in his eye for example) Does the clock start back at 20 when the batter is ready? This may be one of the most pointless innovation “experiments” that the SEC has done.

Here’s a suggestion for an innovative experiment the SEC can try. Why not stop worrying about time between pitches and worry about getting competant training for the refs that work your #1 cash cow that has become a national joke?

Good, anything to speed up the paint when it dries. I wish MLB would do the same.

Quit letting the batter out of the box between every pitch. Why dies he need to adjust the straps on his gloves when the bat doesn’t leave the shoulder?
