Sen. Lincoln has been completely bought and paid for by the U.S. Chamber on this issue. After going back on her word, she is now completely against any form of public option when it comes to the health care debate. That despite the fact that 56% of Arkansas support a public option, that according to a recent poll.
Lincoln said earlier this week she opposes a public option and declined to rule out joining a Republican filibuster against a proposed Senate bill containing one. House Democrats this week also unveiled a bill that includes a public option.
Even more troubling for the senior Senator is that more than 80% of Democrats in the state support the public option. Will anyone step up to actually challenge her?
