in the NFC East, if you believe the rumors.
Eli better watch out–he’s next in line and he has a Super Bowl ring and the biggest contract in the NFL. However, his wife isn’t exactly looking like Kurt Warner ’s wife pre-makeover. Praise the Lord.

The former UA QB is stuck in NFL Limbo. It’s ironic that, with seemingly every other team in the NFL running some version of the Wildcat, the prototypical Wildcat QB can’t find a job because he was, well, too much of a wild cat off the field.

I am not sure which is more suprising–the fact that some people are suprised that Brett Favre looks to be headed back to the NFL, or the fact that a network that devotes its airwaves to Favre’s every waking move, ESPN, keeps getting scooped by rogue NFL Insider Jay Glazer.

With almost 3 weeks to go before the season starts, it only makes sense that we try to predict its end. We will update these periodically, moving to weekly updates by the middle of October. They will probably look a lot like this, though, since I’m pretty certain I am going to wager my life savings on this list. It’s dead-solid perfect.

In the short time we’ve been publishing this blog (less than a month), we have received more than 20,000 visits to BlogHawgs.com. That far exceeds our hopes and expectations. We’ll have lots more fun things going forward (weekly predictions, the Select Seventeen (our version of the Top 25), and a fantasy football update), in addition to the daily links.
Please email either of us if you have suggestions about how we can make this site more fun. We have no agenda other than to keep things light, entertaining, and perhaps mildly funny.
Thank you!
