The Little Rock Junior Deputy All-Stars begin play this afternoon Sunday at the Cal Ripken World Series in Maryland.  You can follow their progress online throughout the tournament.  Good luck!  These kids are representing the Southwest region, a distinction they earned after winning the regional tournament in Springdale.

Tiger looks to make Sunday a mere formality.  A crowded and talented group remains 4-strokes back as play begins today at the PGA Championship.

Victor Martinez delivered in the clutch as Boston escapes with a Friday night win at Texas.  Meanwhile the Yankees continue to show they are the best team in baseball right now.

Adam Wainwright picked up win number 14 last night, improving his case for NL Cy Young consideration.

This Pitino thing is just plain weird.

Michael Phelps just cannot get out of his own way.

From this Alex Abram’s story and others I have read, it sounds like Coach Petrino is ready to line ‘em up and see a scrimmage.  He’ll do that today.

Robbie Neiswanger begins is position-by-position analysis of the Hogs today with the defensive line.

Harry King voices the thoughts of a growing chorus.  Georgia may be really good this year.

Nice story here on new Auburn starting QB Chris Todd and his determination to stick it out on The Plains.

Alabama has a highly secretive and important scrimmage set for this afternoon.

I wonder if Ole Miss will run that WildRebel formation that their football coach invented.

Kentucky is also lining up today for their first full scrimmage.

Depth issues have forced a flag football approach at South Carolina this year.

The Gator defense is going to be very good this year, and they know it.

I cannot believe it took a judge to tell us this.

This is just creepy

Congressman John Boozman must be loving this recess break.  Of course, when asked by a friend of mine about the GOP plan…silence.

Surely they will give these guys another trial, right?  I mean maybe they did it, but I’m a skeptic.

If it’s late summer, it means California is on fire.

The only problem with Begala is that he’s a UT fan.  Aside from that, I’d say he’s about the most honest Democrat out there.  I know, I know…not exactly stiff competition for that title.

I’m sure the right-wing won’t use this during the next campaign cycle.

Yet another sober analysis from Politico
