I Bet You Didn’t Realize Today

Posted by Adam Butler on August 14, 2009

Is a bit of a national holiday.  That’s right, the latest installation of the Madden NFL Video game franchise dropped today.  For those of us who actually went to work or are too mature for such frivolity (or don’t live in our parents’ basement), here’s a review

Michael Vick’s signing yesterday was bad timing for gamers, but he will be added very soon.  Now THAT’s technology–Like Madden’s maker, EA Sports, says, “If it’s in the game, it’s in the game.”

Another Day, Another Watch List

Posted by Brett Kincaid on August 14, 2009

I don’t get them. I really don’t.  I don’t understand the whole “falling down and acting like you’ve been shot, then getting carried off in a WWI gurney.  But, I REALLY don’t get this hair pulling stuff.

Can you imagine Ryan Mallett getting mad at Cobi Hamilton for running the wrong route and yanking on his dreds? Me either.

I am as stunned as anyone.  Entergy announced yesterday that they will be CUTTING RATES for Arkansas subscribers.  I wonder if that means they’ll knock off some of last month’s bill, too?

Arkansas Childrens Hospital and UAMS Hospital have been indentified as two primary locations for Arkansas’ Level I Trauma Center.  Smoke up!  Gotta pay for this thing.

If could corral the creative thinking of meth-heads, we could solve this country’s health care problem.  Meth labs are on the rise in Lonoke County.

Like your insurance?  Keep it.  So sayeth Sen. Lincoln.

Attention Fayetteville readers!

Sexy Sarah has not only abandoned the governor’s chair, she’s also abandoned her old Twitter name.  Never fear, though.  She’s going to be spewing ridiculousness from her new account, @SarahPalinUSA.

Tell your friends:  No death panels!  I do give the far right great credit for coming up with insane ideas that sell on talk radio, though.

Stock up on canned goods, folks.  Newt and Al Sharpton are hitting the road together.

More Newt…  Very nice Politico.com piece today about his take on Sarah Palin and her road to recovery, so to speak.  Interesting reading for any political junky, regardless of ideology.
