What are the odds?

Posted by Brett Kincaid on August 1, 2009

State Sen. Sue Madison (D – Fayetteville) plans to propose an interim study that would review repealing Act 606 of 2009, the measure that sets up a lottery for Arkansas.  Here is Zack Stovall’s account from the Arkansas News Bureau.  A little taste:

“The proposal that was put forth did not mandate, it empowered the Legislature to have one if we wanted one,” said Madison. “We should have paid a lot better attention and we should have had that discussion.”

What an idiot. When is that old hag going to be term limited out of the legislature. It was a mandate from the people–Over 60% of Arkansans want the lottery, Madison should get out of the way and just go to “lunch” with Luker. This is a perfect example of why our legislature is a joke.
