Newport News, Viriginia, community leaders are planning a “Michael Vick Community Celebration”  which will give the city a chance to “enjoy and embrace” the convicted felon.

I believe in second chance and rehabilitation…but really?

What are the odds?

State Sen. Sue Madison (D – Fayetteville) plans to propose an interim study that would review repealing Act 606 of 2009, the measure that sets up a lottery for Arkansas.  Here is Zack Stovall’s account from the Arkansas News Bureau.  A little taste:

“The proposal that was put forth did not mandate, it empowered the Legislature to have one if we wanted one,” said Madison. “We should have paid a lot better attention and we should have had that discussion.”
