Not Another Tax on Working Familes!

Posted by Brett Kincaid on July 29, 2009

Here we go again.  This report from CBS News details a proposal out of Washington that Congress is yet again considering a tax on sugar-sweetened drinks.  The thought is, fat people should pay for health care.  The problem for that crowd is that the facts don’t jive.

According to the AP,  Health Affairs identified obesity rates as up 37 percent since 1998. Soft drink sales are down 9 perceNo Soda Tax!nt during that same period, according to Beverage Digest.

Who the hell is doing the math at CDC?

what your missing by just using the raw data like that is the percentage of fat vs skinny people who drink sugary drinks many other variables must be accounted for too.. BTW like your blog.
